Richard Booth, who died on August 19 aged 80, established the small market town of Hay-on-Wye (Y Gelli Gandryll) in Wales as the world’s first book town.
Most bibliophiles know the name Hay-on-Wye as the first 'book town.' Said to have thirty or more bookshops, it's a tiny Welsh town that transforms during its annual literary festival.
